New! Presentations information [See below]

Proceedings

The PATMOS 2002 Proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in their LNCS Series (Lecture Notes in Computer Science). LNCS now also is published, in parallel to the printed books, in full-text electronic version.

Prospective authors for regular presentations are invited to submit their complete paper including a 100-word abstract and illustrations in A4 camera ready format, not exceeding 10 pages. Electronic submission is required and should follow the style for the final publication (see below for complete style and submission instructions). The deadline for paper submission is March 25, 2002.

Paper acceptance will be notified before May 31, 2002. Authors of accepted papers are encouraged to follow the comments from the referees and send the final version before June 21, 2002.

Manuscript Style

Both, candidate and accepted papers, should follow the Springer LNCS style. Please note that not strictly following Springer LNCS style may prevent the paper from being published in the Workshop Proceedings, due to Springer-Verlag requirements. Springer-Verlag provides detailed information for authors and all neccessary style files and forms on their web-site. The use of the Springer LNCS LaTeX2e class file is strongly recommended. If you have questions or problems regarding the author guidelines or the submission system, do not hesitate to contact chair@patmos2002.org.

The following files are local copies from those that can be found on the information for authors page of Springer-Verlag:

If you need any other format or further instructions please visit information for authors page of Springer-Verlag.

Submission Instructions

Candidate papers should be sent by e-mail to bertrand.hochet@eivd.ch in PostScript (PS) or PDF format.

Final versions of accepted papers should be sent by e-mail to chair@patmos2002.org. Authors must include: the source (input) files, e.g. TEX files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures, the final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX or TeX), the final PS file, and, if possible, a PDF file of the final version of your contribution. If you have prepared your paper using a word processing system other than LaTeX or TeX, please also submit RTF files. When generating the PS file please avoid using the option "reverse order". Make sure that the text is identical in all cases.

Please fill in the following volume editors:

Oral Presentations [New!]

Authors will have 18 minutes for presentation plus 4/5 minutes for questions. Authors should prepare and time their talks accordingly.

There will be a PC with Power Point and PDF viewers, and an overhead projector at the workshop site. Authors may send their presentations in electronic format in advance to jjchico@imse.cnm.es or provide them in floppy or CD at the workshop the day before presentation if posible.

Please name your files with <session number>-<paper order>.<ext>, for example, the fourth paper in section five will be "5-4.ppt" or "5-4.pdf".

Authors are also requested to provide a short biografy (4 or 5 lines) in advance to jjchico@imse.cnm.es or at the workshop to the session chair.

Poster Presentations [New!]

In preparing your poster, please note that it must fit in an A1 size sheet in portrait orientation, i.e., 59.4 cm (23.4 inches) width x 84 cm (33 inches) height.

To ease identification of presenters in poster sessions, we would appreciate if you could send to us a photograph in electronic format (jpeg or png) of the designated presenter of your poster. Simply attach the corresponding file to an email and send it to bellido@imse.cnm.es
